Montra Electric Tractor: India’s First Electric Agricultural Tractor

Montra Electric launches the E-27 Electric Tractor at the Krishi Darshan Expo 2025 in Hisar, Haryana. This new tractor is an economical and environmentally responsible choice for farmers because it operates on electricity rather than diesel.

With its powerful 27-hp electric motor, the Montra E-27 Electric Tractor can handle a variety of farming duties. Depending on the demands of farming, it comes in two-wheel drive (2WD) and four-wheel drive (4WD) variants.

1. Efficient Battery and Fast Charging
   An LFP Prismatic cell battery with a 22.37 kWh (304AH) capacity powers the tractor. Depending on the workload and soil conditions, it can accommodate a 72V charging voltage and a maximum charger capacity of 6.3 kW, guaranteeing quick charging and extended working hours.
2. Smooth Transmission and Easy Handling
   With eight forward speeds and two backward gears, the E-27’s side shift transmission ensures smooth mobility over a variety of terrains. With the improved ergonomics and convenience of gear shifting offered by the side shift transmission, farmers can operate the tractor more comfortably and with less effort. With a lifting capacity of 720 kg, the hydraulic system is appropriate for moving large objects and powering agricultural equipment.
3. Advanced PTO System
   A Power Take-Off (PTO) system that supports several farm tools is included with the tractor. With its two speeds (540 and 1000 RPM), it can be used for a variety of agricultural chores. With a maximum PTO power of 22.16 horsepower, the E-27 ensures effective performance when utilizing a variety of tools.

   The E-27 Electric Tractor is fitted with agricultural tyres designed for better grip on fields. The electric motor reduces noise and vibration, providing a smoother and more comfortable driving experience for farmers.
