Agri-biotech Startup GreenGrahi has raised Rs 32 Cr

Delhi Based Agri-biotech startup GreenGrahi has raised Rs 32 crore ($3.73 million) in a funding round led by Avaana Capital. Huddle, Campus Fund, Blume Founders Fund, and angel investors Nitin Sharma of Nexus Venture and Sameer Brij Verma of Northpoint Capital also participated in the round.

The additional funds will be used to develop its platform for insect biomanufacturing, hire new personnel, and promote global expansion.

Founded in 2021 by Siddharth Sharma and Shivali Sugand, GreenGrahi produces insect-based proteins and bio-inputs for animal and plant nutrition, aiming to meet high demand and enter international markets.

Compared to traditional feed ingredients like fishmeal and soy, these products, which are especially made for use in aquaculture, poultry, and pet nutrition, offer better digestibility, nutritional value, and more stable price, stated the read.

Additionally, the company developed biological agricultural inputs, including biostimulants, biopesticides, and fertilizers, to improve soil health and boost crop output and resilience.

Co-founder Siddharth Sharma stated, “On the R&D side, our team is continuously working to extract more and more beneficial ingredients from the insect, but scale-up and global expansion are on the commercial side.”

Over 10 clients in the animal and plant nutrition sectors are served by the B2B platform. The startup anticipates that 30–35% of its business will come from entering markets including the US, UK, and EU and growing its scientific team.
